The Boys in Gold return to GEODIS Park for a Western Conference matchup against California club San Jose Earthquakes.

Key Storylines

  1. Fourth time’s the charm – This weekend’s clash against the Earthquakes marks the fourth time these clubs will face off in league play with each of the previous meetings ending in a draw. Both teams have scored three goals each in the series stretching back to April 16, 2022. With everything in the series perfectly balanced, the players on both sides will look at this match as an opportunity to earn a much needed three points and pull ahead in the head-to-head series.
  2. The start of a streak at home – This weekend’s match against the Earthquakes marks the beginning of five matches in 21 days for Nashville SC. Four of those matches take place at GEODIS Park against the Earthquakes, CF Montreal, Toronto FC, and Atlanta United.
  3. Status of the squad – Captain Walker Zimmerman and attacker Tyler Boyd can be expected to be part of the matchday squad on Saturday after missing significant time due to injury, according to head coach Gary Smith. Defender Shaq Moore is “slightly behind” Zimmerman and Boyd, but the USMNT player won’t be available this weekend. Center back Lukas MacNaughton underwent surgery this week after sustaining an injury against Inter Miami last Saturday.

Opposition Player To Watch

While the Earthquakes are struggling in the Western Conference, Jeremy Ebobisse is the leading goal scorer for the Earthquakes this season with three goals.
