Drew and Ellie Holcomb are a Music City power couple. The duo met while in school at the University of Tennessee and moved to Nashville to pursue their music careers and raise a family. Both musicians were born in Tennessee, and Drew’s Memphis roots can be heard in his unique sound as frontman of his band Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors. Drew grew up playing baseball and football, but joined his high school soccer team during his junior year and fell in love with the game. He says he’s excited to have MLS in Nashville, so much so that he became a member of the club’s founding member program, the First String, by purchasing season tickets for Nashville SC’s inaugural season.
Drew and Ellie are making the most of the challenges that the pandemic has brought, and will be hosting a socially-distanced concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee on Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day Q&A:
NSC: Do you have any Valentine’s traditions you would like to share?
Drew:Well, for the last four years my wife Ellie and I have done an acoustic tour called the “You and Me” tour. We obviously can’t do it this year but are excited to be doing the live stream.
NSC: What is your favorite love song or first dance song?
Drew:Our first dance was Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder. We wanted to get the party started, and it worked!
NSC: Who is your favorite music industry couple?
Drew:We look up to Vince and Amy Gill a whole lot.
