MIAMI, Fla. (Sept. 12, 2026) – MLS-leading Nashville Soccer Club maintained its nine-point lead over Inter Miami CF in the Eastern Conference standings with a come-from-behind 2-2 draw vs. the Herons Saturday night at Nu Stadium.
Sam Surridge opened the scoring in the fourth minute with assists from defenders Andy Najar and Jeisson Palacios. Inter Miami tied the match in the 19th minute with an own goal and Lionel Messi gave the hosts the lead in the 62nd minute before Surridge scored the game-tying goal in the 91stminute to give the Boys in Gold a point on the road. Â
Coming in clutch:Â Sam Surridge, who finished with his fifth multi-goal MLS performance of 2026, leads Nashville SC with 15 league goals this season and 17 across all competitions (MLS, Concacaf Champions Cup, Leagues Cup).
