Nashville SC's Randall Leal Called Up to Costa Rican National Team for CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mar. 10, 2021) – Nashville Soccer Club announced today Randall Leal has been called up by the U-23 Costa Rica Men’s National Team for the upcoming Concacaf Olympic Qualifying Championship that will take place from March 18-30 in Guadalajara, Mexico.


Costa Rica is set to take on the United States on Thursday, March 18 at 4 p.m. CT, Mexico on March 21 at 8:30 p.m. CT and the Dominican Republic on March 23 at 6 p.m. CT.


Most recently, Leal earned his 17th international cap on Nov. 13, 2020 as a halftime sub in a 1-1 draw against Qatar as part of two exhibition matches held by Costa Rica’s Senior National.


The 24-year old winger was an offensive sparkplug for Nashville SC in the club’s inaugural season in Major League Soccer last season. Leal appeared in 21 regular season matches, recorded three goals and was tied for the team lead in assists with four alongside Captain Dax McCarty and Hany Mukhtar.
