Nashville Soccer Club Acquires $50k in 2026 General Allocation Money from Austin FC in Exchange for Loan of Chris Applewhite

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 2, 2026) – Nashville Soccer Club announced today it has acquired $50,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM) from Austin FC in exchange for the loan of defender Chris Applewhite through June 30, 2027. As part of the deal, Austin FC has the option to permanently acquire Applewhite for a fee at the conclusion of the loan.  

 A product of the club’s academy, Applewhite signed with Nashville SC as a Homegrown player in January of 2025. The U.S. Youth Men’s National Team defender made seven appearances for NSC and 31 for Nashville’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Huntsville City Football club since making his professional debut in 2024.  

Transaction: Nashville SC acquires $50K in 2026 GAM from Austin FC in exchange for the loan of Chris Applewhite through June 30, 2027. Austin FC has the option to permanently acquire Applewhite for a fee at the conclusion of the loan.
