DAY-LONG BROADCAST TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH

NEW YORK – Major League Soccer is celebrating the launch of the EA Sports FIFA 20 video game and contributing to a great cause next week.

On Tuesday, September 24, eMLS, the league’s esports and gaming property, and MLS WORKS, the league’s social responsibility platform, will be hosting a “24 Hours of FIFA 20” live stream on Twitch (Twitch.tv/mls) as part of the league’s sixth annual Kick Childhood Cancer campaign. Various eMLS players and other personalities will be participating throughout the 24-hour special, all while raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. Twitch overlays and extensions will offer easy donation transactions throughout the event.

The broadcast will begin on September 24 at 5 p.m. CT and conclude on September 25 at 5 p.m. CT. It is part of the league’s month-long fundraiser for the Children’s Oncology Group Foundation, which is the world’s largest organization dedicated exclusively to childhood and adolescent cancer research. Participants in the broadcast will be using special Kick Childhood Cancer controllers from the league’s new gaming partner Scuf Gaming.
