HALFTIME: Nashville SC even 0-0 with Minnesota United FC in frantic first half

NASHVILLE - With an energetic, limited-capacity crowd on hand at Nissan Stadium, Nashville SC finds itself even 0-0 with Minnesota United FC at halftime on Tuesday night.


Nashville SC got to the attack early in the match. In the fifth minute, Derrick Jones got a cross in the six-yard box from Randall Leal that he put just wide of the net. Three minutes later, Tah Brian Anunga put a long-range effort wide of the net. Minnesota earned its chances throughout the half, including a 13th minute miss from Ethan Finlay.


The Boys in Gold kept the pressure on. In the 26th minute, Alex Muyl took a great touch in the six-yard box and had his shot saved point-blank. Moments later in the 29th minute, Leal had a long-range effort of his own that required a lunging save from the Minnesota keeper. Off the ensuing corner kick, Dax McCarty sent an attempt just wide.


Nashville took eight shots during the half, including two on target.
