FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nashville SC and Inter Miami CF are deadlocked at 0-0 after the first half Sunday night in Fort Lauderdale following a weather delay that pushed kickoff from 7 p.m. CT back to 8:45 p.m. CT. Both teams showed moments of promise with a lively back-and-forth throughout the opening 45 minutes of the match.

Inter Miami CF had a few opportunities to capitalize early, most notably when midfielder Rodolfo Pizarro missed a shot wide right in the 8’ minute and then again wide left in the 19’ minute.

Shortly after, Nashville nearly found the go-ahead goal in the 22’ minute, but forward Dominique Badji’s point-blank volley was blocked by Miami’s goalkeeper Luis Robles. Just one minute later in the 23’ minute, midfielder Hany Mukhtar took a chance on his own, but his long attempt sailed high.

Stay tuned for the second half on FS1, ESPN 94.9 and El Jefe 96.7.
