Vanderbilt Health Becomes Official Nashville Soccer Club Training Kit Sponsor

Vanderbilt Health Training Partner Announcement

NASHVILLE (June 23, 2020) – Nashville Soccer Club and Vanderbilt Health announced today the continuation of their strategic, multi-year partnership by unveiling the inclusion of Vanderbilt Health as the official sponsor of Nashville SC’s training kit. Nashville SC will begin wearing these branded training tops as the club prepares for its participation in the MLS Is Back Tournament in Orlando, Fla. on July 8.

“Vanderbilt Health is a pillar of our community and at no time has this been more evident than during the last several months,” said Nashville SC Chief Revenue Officer Will Alexander. “We’re proud to be able to expand our special partnership into our training and warm-up gear.”

Team physicians with Vanderbilt Health, Jaron Sullivan, MD, Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, and Andrew Gregory, MD, Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, have been working with players to help them prepare for the resumption of play.

“We are very excited about our relationship with Nashville SC and look forward to their return to the field for this upcoming tournament. We have outstanding trainers who are working with the players on a daily basis to help ensure their safety and well-being,” said Gregory.

Earlier this season, Nashville SC and Vanderbilt Health announced a partnership making Vanderbilt Health the club’s official sponsor and exclusive health care provider. Through the partnership, Vanderbilt Sports Medicine provides Nashville SC’s two chief medical officers and three athletic trainers, a nutritionist and a sports psychologist who, following a comprehensive, team-based approach, offer our players full holistic care.

As part of this partnership, patients of Vanderbilt Health will enjoy one-of-a-kind fan experiences including players’ visits and patients being named honorary players. In September, the two partners will also collaborate in Major League Soccer’s annual Kick Childhood Cancer campaign as part of childhood cancer awareness month.
