A Quick Look at Nashville SC

  • Started in MLS: 2020
  • Stadium: GEODIS Park - the largest soccer-specific stadium in the U.S. (30,009 capacity). Located in Wedgewood-Houston.
  • Nickname: The Boys in Gold
  • Head Coach: BJ Callaghan - Currently in his first full season in Nashville, BJ has the Boys in Gold playing a brand of soccer the city has never seen before. With a constant attack and high press up the pitch, Nashville SC has turned up the intensity on matchdays, which has paid off so far this season as the Boys in Gold sit second place in the MLS Eastern Conference currently.

Getting to Know the Players

Nashville SC’s roster includes a mix of NSC mainstays, rising stars, and new fan favorites.

  • Hany Mukhtar (#10) - The club’s first-ever Designated Player and 2022 MLS MVP. Hany's iconic salute after scoring goals has become a regular sight at GEODIS Park, and the crowd loves to join in on it with him.
  • Walker Zimmerman (#25) - A U.S. Men’s National Team defender and two-time MLS Defender of the Year. Walker is the Captain of the team, providing leadership from the back while defending and near the opponent's goal on corner kicks.
  • Sam Surridge (#9) - Signed in 2023 from Nottingham Forest (ENG), Sam has become one of the most dangerous scoring threats in MLS. He leads the league in goals with 16, with the next-closest scorer being three goals behind.
  • Joe Willis (#1) - A strong presence between the sticks. You'll hear a strong "Joe Says No" chant throughout the stadium after he makes a save.
  • Eddi Tagseth (#20) - A newcomer from Norway. Eddi's relentlessness and grit in the midfield are some of the most electric parts of a Nashville SC match.

Those are just a few names to know in the squad, but you never know who'll make the stadium erupt on an NSC matchday. Click here to see the entire 2025 roster.
