NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 27, 2021) – Nashville Soccer Club in conjunction with Major League Soccer and Jersey Week, announced today the 2021 best-selling MLS jerseys. Two Nashville SC players made the list including reigning 2020 MLS Defender of the Year and 2021 All-Star Walker Zimmerman (17) and 2021 MVP candidate Hany Mukhtar (25).
Zimmerman, a 2021 Defender of the Year candidate, has anchored a backline to a 0.70 goals-against average when he’s in the lineup this season, and a record of 7W-3L-11D. Zimmerman has been selected to MLS Team of the Week four times this season.
For Mukhtar, the midfielder ranks third in MLS in goals + assists with 23 this season. Mukhtar also ranks tied for seventh in MLS in goals with 13, ranks fourth in shots with 84, and third in shots on target with 39. He also leads Nashville SC in these respective categories as well as assists. Mukhtar has been selected to the MLS Team of the Week six times, the most of any Nashville SC player this season.
