Sam Surridge and Hany Mukhtar were named to MLS Team of the Matchday following Nashville's 5-1 win against Orlando City SC on Saturday, while Josh Bauer was named to MLS Team of the Matchday bench.
Last weekend, Nashville SC recorded their twelfth unbeaten match in a row at home in GEODIS Park, marking the team's tenth regular season home victory of 2025—a new club record. In the pivotal match, the Boys in Gold defended their spot as third place in the East, reaching 50 points with blow of the final whistle.
Forward Sam Surridge (20 goals) reclaimed his lead in the Golden Boot race over Miami's Lionel Messi (19 goals). Surridge's first goal of the night came just three minutes into the match, giving Nashville the early lead.
With a header in the 43' the Englishman sent another ball straight to the net. Saturday's brace was Surridge's third of the season.
Hany Mukhtar was also in fine form against Orlando, delivering another brace for the Boys. With back to back goals in the 17' and 40' and two assists (Surridge, 3'; Palacios, 90' +4), Mukhtar became the fifth player in MLS history to record at least ten goals and ten assists in four different seasons.
Defender Josh Bauer was also recognized for his breakthrough performance in Saturday's match. The Florida native recorded his first and second career MLS assists and set a new career high for single season goal contributions.
