BRONX, N.Y. (Sept. 4, 2026) – First place Nashville Soccer Club is unbeaten in 16 of its last 17 MLS matches at 12W-1L-4D after earning a scoreless draw with New York City FC Friday night at Yankee Stadium. The Boys in Gold outshot the Pigeons 13 to 6 while goalkeeper Brian Schwake secured his league-leading 11th regular season clean sheet of 2026. 

Records are meant to be broken: Nashville SC’s draw set another league record with the Boys in Gold off to the best 23-match start in MLS history at 16W-2L-5D and 53 points. 

Staying ahead: With Friday night's draw, Nashville is 10 points up on the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Supporters' Shield standings and 11 points clear of Inter Miami CF in the Eastern Conference with 11 regular season matches remaining.  

Steadfast as ever: Friday night’s shutout was Nashville SC’s league leading seventh on the road this season. The Boys in Gold have conceded the fewest away goals in MLS in 2026 at five.
