Familiar Foe – The Boys in Gold and Inter Miami are no strangers. Since joining MLS in 2020, Nashville and Miami have faced off 14 times across all competitions, most notably in the 2023 Leagues Cup Final. With Saturday’s matchup against the Herons, Miami will tie Orlando City SC as Nashville’s most played opponent.
Nashville has a 4W-5L-5D record against the Florida side across all competitions. Saturday also marks the first matchup of the season between the two teams.
Super Sam Isn’t Slowing Down – Nashville’s Designated Player and striker Sam Surridge has come into a life of his own this season. He leads Major League Soccer with his 16 goals, and he added on two more to his season total with his U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal brace against D.C. United on Wednesday. On Saturday, the Englishman is going head to head with Lionel Messi, who trails Surridge in the Golden Boot Standings by two goals. Magic of the Cup – Nashville SC is coming off of a midweek Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal win over D.C. United.
