NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 31, 2026) – Nashville Soccer Club announced today it has acquired defender Owen Presthus on loan from the Columbus Crew through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season (February to May) in exchange for $50,000 in 2027 General Allocation Money (GAM) with the option to acquire him permanently at the conclusion of the loan. As part of the deal, Columbus can receive up to $50,000 in additional GAM if certain performance-based incentives are met.
“Owen is a talented young player that we believe fits really well with what our group embodies on and off the field,” said Nashville SC President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Mike Jacobs. “His versatility to be able to play on both the left and the right, as well as in defense and in midfield, along with his extensive experience already as both a professional and youth international, puts him in position to be a key contributor in our group as we continue to grow and build for the future.”
Since 2023, the 20-year-old has scored eight goals and registered 11 assists in 73 professional appearances for the Columbus Crew (2026), MLS NEXT Pro’s Columbus Crew 2 (2023-26) and the USLC’s Hartford Athletic (on loan in 2025).
Internationally, Presthus has featured for both the United States U20 (three appearances, two assists) and U19 (two appearances) Youth National Teams.
