Aníbal Godoy Earns 100th Appearance for Panamanian National Team

Godoy 100 Panama Appearances

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic - During the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification for the region of CONCACAF this past international window, Nashville SC midfielder and Panama international Aníbal Godoy made his 100th career appearance in a match against Barbados on March 25 at Estadio Félix Sánchez in the Dominican Republic.

A regular for Panama for over a decade since making his debut in 2010, Godoy has been a stalwart of the national team, currently ranked ninth all-time in appearances for La Marea Roja, scoring one goal and assisting three in the process. He was also a member of the 2018 team that played in the country’s first-ever FIFA World Cup™, as well as playing at multiple Concacaf Gold Cups.

Godoy and Panama are currently second in their World Cup Qualifying group after two wins and three more games set to be played during the June international window.

Godoy will rejoin Nashville SC when the club returns to Nashville for their final phase of preseason training ahead of its second Major League Soccer season.
