Alan O'Connor | U17 Lead Coach
Alan O’Connor serves as the U17 Head Coach for the Nashville SC Academy. The 2023-2024 season marks his fourth year with the club. O’Connor hails from Dublin, Ireland and is well-versed in Nashville soccer. Prior to coaching, O’Connor played soccer in both Ireland and the U.S., last playing for Nashville FC of NPSL in 2013. He has coached youth soccer in and around Nashville since 2008, starting at Martin Methodist College as assistant coach. After coaching collegiately, O’Connor moved on to Montgomery Bell Academy as the assistant coach of the varsity team, where he held the position until 2020 while also serving as Director of Coaching at both Tennessee Soccer Club and Nashville United Soccer Academy, and as Head Coach of Inter Nashville FC and Nashville United in NPSL.
O’Connor holds a Master’s of Organizational Leadership degree and USSF “A” License. He has one daughter and three sons with his wife, Sara.
