Renasant Recap: Nashville SC shuts out Red Bulls 1-0 on road

Harrison, N.J. (Aug. 19, 2026) – First place Nashville Soccer Club won again Wednesday night, shutting out the New York Red Bulls 1-0 at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Defender Maxwell Woledzi scored his second goal of the season from Cristian Espinoza in second half added time to give the Boys in Gold the win in the final minutes. 

History makers: Nashville SC’s win over the Red Bulls was the first road victory vs. New York for the Boys in Gold in club history. NSC is now 1W-2L-2D all-time at Sports Illustrated Stadium (formerly Red Bull Arena). 

Schwak-star: With his shutout, Brian Schwake became the first goalkeeper in Nashville SC history to keep 14 clean sheets in a single season (all competitions).  

Legendary longevity: Nashville SC captain Hany Mukhtar became the club’s all-time leader in regular season starts (185) and minutes played (16,636) Wednesday night, passing goalkeeper Joe Willis in both categories. 

Next up: Nashville SC will play the first of two consecutive home matches when it hosts the Columbus Crew at GEODIS Park this Saturday, Aug. 22 at 7:30 p.m. CT presented by C Spire.
