Every week, Nashville’s Next recaps the weekend that was for the Nashville SC organization from the first team to Huntsville City FC, to the Nashville SC academy.
Academy: The Gold Mine was in full swing at Currey-Ingram Academy this weekend. The NSCU18s and NSCU16s battled CFC Montreal. Tristan Tropeano scored the lone goal in a 2-1 loss, while Kleyber Estrada Fuentes, Liam Stribling, Jacob Mazariegos, and Jonathan Hernandez each scored a goal in a 4-2 goal fest against Montreal.
The NSCU15s put up 12 goals on Sunday, while the NSCU14s earned three points from a three goal performance. Both teams played the Lanier Soccer Association Sharks.
The Gold Mine is traveling to Maryland to compete in MLS NEXT Flex starting on May 9. Below is our schedule.

Nashville SC: The Boys in Gold went down to Atlanta to take on the Five Stripes, ultimately earning a point on the road. A second half equalizer from left back Dan Lovitz canceled out Miguel Almiron’s first half opener.
Lovitz’s performance earned him a spot on the Team of the Matchday bench. He also leads the league in goal contributions from a defender.
The squad is back in action on Tuesday for US Open Cup Round of 32 action against Chattanooga Red Wolves.

Match 1: U.S. Open Cup Match | May 6
Nashville SC is back in the historic U.S. Open Cup tournament for the first time since 2023 and hosting a Round of 32 match on May 6 against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
Huntsville City FC: The Boys in Blue faced off against ATL UTD 2, falling in a PK shootout after drawing 2-2 in regular time. Jordan Knight struck early in the first half to open the scoring, while former Atlanta United academy product Alan Carleton made it 2-1 right before halftime.
Huntsville City FC is back at home on May 17th vs. Chattanooga for Kids Night.
