HALFTIME: Nashville SC takes 1-0 lead into halftime against Montreal Impact

NSH vs MTL Halftime

HARRISON, N.J. - Randall Leal’s 33rd-minute goal is the difference at halftime as Nashville SC leads 1-0 over Montreal Impact on Tuesday night at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J.

Both sides were feeling out the match early on with neither side earning any golden scoring chances. In the 28th minute, the match began to open up. Aníbal Godoy took a hard, curling shot from outside the box that was parried away. Moments later, Montreal’s Romell Quioto counterattacked alone and fired a shot between defenders and over the bar.

The breakthrough came in the 33rd minute when Alex Muyl took a free kick instantly and sprung Leal darting down the middle of the pitch. He found space in behind and slotted the ball home to give Nashville the lead.

The Boys in Gold took eight shots to Montreal’s four throughout the half.
