HALFTIME: Nashville SC leads FC Dallas 1-0 on Randall Leal goal

NSH v DAL Halftime

NASHVILLE - Nashville Soccer Club is up 1-0 on FC Dallas on Tuesday at Nissan Stadium thanks to Randall Leal’s second goal of the season.

Nashville came out firing with an Abu Danladi chance in the third minute. He ran after an errant back-pass and took a few strides before blasting a ball towards the lower left corner that was parried aside by FC Dallas goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer.

After a few minutes of back-and-forth action, the Boys in Gold found paydirt in the 19th minute. On the defensive end, Walker Zimmerman made a brilliant sliding tackle to stop a scoring chance. With the outlet pass, Nashville SC counterattacked the other way. Randall Leal and Derrick Jones linked up through the midfield, and Leal put a shot towards goal that deflected off the inner leg of the defender and snuck past Maurer.

That goal put the Boys in Gold up 1-0 in the first half for the third consecutive match.

Tune in for the second half on Fox Sports 1, ESPN 94.9 or El Jefe 96.7.
