Cochran and Bourgeois among Nashville SC players to take Hot Pepper Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 1, 2018) – Nashville SC accepted the Tennessee Titans ALS Pepper Challenge on Thursday morning after practice as keeper CJ Cochran, defender Bradley Bourgeois, forward Tucker Hume and Amanda Arnold, Corporate Partnerships Coordinator, ate habanero peppers to raise awareness for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

Before braving the spice, Nashville SC nominated Fox-17, Atlanta United and Fernando Fiore to do the ALS Pepper Challenge next.

"Anytime you can bring awareness to a cause through a fun little challenge, which gets the word around quickly, is fun to do," said Cochran. "Hopefully we can raise awareness and a bit of money."

The ALS Pepper Challenge is the latest “challenge” to raise awareness and funds for ALS research. One of the most successful campaigns toward ALS research occurred in the summer of 2014. Nicknamed the “Ice Bucket Challenge,” the campaign raised $115 million towards ALS research. Click here to donate to ALS research.
