Lineup Notes: Nashville SC vs. North Carolina FC

Winn returns to an otherwise unchanged lineup

NASHVILLE – Nashville SC announced its lineup for Saturday night's big clash against North Carolina FC at Nissan Stadium. Only one change was made to the lineup that took down Louisville City FC on Tuesday night. 

Keeper: Matt Pickens 

Defenders: Justin Davis, Jimmy Ockford, Forrest Lasso, Darnell King

Midfielders: Matt LaGrassa, Bolu Akinyode, Lebo Moloto, Ropapa Mensah, Alan Winn

Forward: Daniel Ríos

The bench will include goalkeeper Connor Sparrow, defenders Kosuke Kimura, Taylor Washington and Bradley Bourgeois, midfielder Derrick Jones and forwards Cameron Lancaster and Kharlton Belmar

Lineup Notes:

Keeper

  • Matt Pickens gets his 24th start of the season. He’s the front runner for the 2019 Golden Glove with a goals against average of 0.70.

Defender

  • Justin Davis makes his 20th start of the season.
  • Jimmy Ockford makes his 13th start of the season.
  • Forrest Lasso makes his 11th start of the season. He’ll be wearing the captain’s armband tonight.
  • Darnell King makes his 18th start of the season.

Midfield

  • Matt LaGrassa makes his 26th start of the season.
  • Bolu Akinyode makes his 22nd start of the season.
  • Lebo Moloto makes his 27th start of the season.
  • Ropapa Mensah makes his 13th start of the season.
  • Alan Winn returns to the starting lineup to make his 11th start of the season.

Attack

  • Daniel Ríos makes his 28th start of the season. Ríos netted his 50th career goal against Loudoun United FC back in September. He’s two goals away from being the first player in league history to have back-to-back 20-goal seasons.
