Forrest Lasso returns to lineup with captain’s armband

NASHVILLE – Nashville SC announced its lineup for Tuesday night’s match against Louisville City FC, presented by JetRight. Head coach Gary Smith has made one defensive change to the Starting XI which sees Forrest Lasso back in the lineup. 

Keeper: Matt Pickens 

Defenders: Justin Davis, Jimmy Ockford, Forrest Lasso, Darnell King

Midfielders: Matt LaGrassa, Bolu Akinyode, Lebo Moloto, Ropapa Mensah, Taylor Washington

Forward: Daniel Ríos

The bench will include goalkeeper Connor Sparrow, defenders Kosuke Kimura and Bradley Bourgeois, midfielder Derrick Jones and forwards Alan Winn, Cameron Lancaster and Kharlton Belmar

Lineup Notes:

Keeper

  • Matt Pickens gets his 23rd start of the season. He’s the front runner for the 2019 Golden Glove with a goals against average of 0.68.

Defender

  • Justin Davis makes his 19th start of the season.
  • Jimmy Ockford makes his 12th start of the season.
  • Forrest Lasso makes his 10th start of the season. He’ll be wearing the captain’s armband tonight.
  • Darnell King makes his 17th start of the season.

Midfield

  • Matt LaGrassa makes his 25th start of the season.
  • Bolu Akinyode makes his 21st start of the season.
  • Lebo Moloto makes his 26th start of the season.
  • Ropapa Mensah makes his 12th start of the season.
  • Taylor Washington makes his 20th start of the season. 

Attack

  • Daniel Ríos makes his 27th start of the season. Last match against Loudoun United FC, Ríos netted his 50th career goal. He’s two goals away from being the first player in league history to have back-to-back 20-goal seasons.
