NASHVILLE – Nashville SC’s players have made some remarkable plays since its inaugural season in 2018, and they’ve gotten some love from the folks at SportsCenter as well.

The club has been featured on the SportsCenter Top 10 on three different occasions. Here’s a look back at the plays that got the sports world talking.

Lebo Moloto’s Bar Down Goal, June 2, 2018 (#3)

Nashville SC’s first SportsCenter Top 10 play in club history came from midfielder Lebo Moloto against Penn FC on June 2, 2018. Early in the second half, Moloto ran a great combination through the midfield and rifled a perfectly-placed shot that hit off the crossbar and went into the back of the net. The goal was brilliant enough to finish at #3 in that night’s Top 10.

Darnell King’s Acrobatic Stop, June 16, 2019 (#4)

Nashville was once again featured in the Top 10 this past June, but not for a stylish goal or goalkeeper save. This one was a sensational play by defender Darnell King. In the first half, a turnover in the midfield sprung a quick Hartford Athletic counterattack. The player rounded the keeper and put the ball on frame. King quickly scrambled back and made an acrobatic play in the air to save the ball off the line, knock it off the post and out of harm’s way. The play put him #4 in the Top 10 that evening.

Daniel Ríos’ Laser vs. Louisville, July 6, 2019 (#7)

This past weekend, Nashville SC added to its SportsCenter Top 10 portfolio with Daniel Ríos’ strike against Louisville City FC. In the first half, Ríos got a small bit of space near the top of the box on a tap pass from Cameron Lancaster, and the Mexican forward unleashed a blistering shot that knocked into the net off of the far post. The play ended up at #7 on the Top 10 that night.
