NASHVILLE – Forward Daniel Rios’ impressive strike that put the team up early against Louisville City FC on Saturday has been nominated for USL Championship Goal of the Week for Week 18.
Rios netted his 11th goal of the season in the 11' minute when the team capitalized on a poor clearance by Louisville just outside the box. Cameron Lancaster set Rios up for his shot, which was a bending strike that ricocheted off of the right post and into the net. In addition to his Goal of the Week nomination, Rios' goal was featured at #7 on ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 Plays.
With the tally, Rios leads the Eastern Conference in goals and is just one away from tying the league’s current leader.
