TAMPA – With two goals and an assist against Swope Park Rangers on Saturday, Daniel Ríos was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week bench on Tuesday by the league. It’s Ríos second Team of the Week honor after being named to the team following Week 5.
Ríos scored the first two goals of Nashville’s 5-1 win over Swope Park on Saturday, in the 6’ and 14’ minutes, and then added an assist on NSC’s third strike in the 16’. The two goals and one assist mark the second time that a Nashville player has been on the scoresheet for three goals in a single match. Previously, Michael Reed recorded three assists in a 4-0 win over Richmond Kickers on Aug. 28, 2018.
Nashville SC has had one player on seven of the 10 USL Championship Teams of the Week so far this season. Ríos is one of four Nashville players to be named to the Team of the Week along with Matt LaGrassa, Ken Tribbett and Ropapa Mensah.
