NASHVILLE (Feb. 22, 2017) – Tickets to the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup doubleheader at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, July 8, including the opening U.S. Men’s National Team match, go on sale to the general public beginning today, Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 10 a.m. CST. The USMNT will play a to-be- determined opponent.
Nashville SC, the city’s professional soccer franchise, gave members of The 1779 Club access to an exclusive ticket presale. Nashville SC will begin play in March 2018 in the United Soccer League, as their Under-23 squad prepares to take the pitch this May.
“Watching the U.S. Men’s National Team take the field in Nashville’s first-ever Gold Cup is going to be the latest chapter of Nashville’s incredible soccer story,” said Nashville SC CEO Court Jeske. Jeske worked for Major League Soccer as tournament organizer for the last four Gold Cups.
Nashville is one of 10 U.S. host cities for the Gold Cup, the official national team championship of the North and Central American and Caribbean region. Twelve nations will compete: Canada, Costa Rica, Curaçao, El Salvador, French Guiana, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Panama and the United States; Haiti and Nicaragua will face off in a play-in series in late March for the final spot.
